Blizzard merger with Activision
What does it mean in the long term?
To me the only advantages mist be in economys of scale in advertising, recruitment and management. The games they develop are totally diffrent. Activisions biggest Sellers are Guitar Hero and Call of Duty, Blizzards are strategy games and RPGS.
Bout the only crossover I see is a possible Starcraft ghost resurecction!

Same here, my favorite games are from both Activision and Blizzard.

I'm a little bit apprehensive about this change. Blizzard's management has gone through several large changes, keep changing the mix at the top and it won't be too long before Blizzard is a completely different company to the one that made all the decent games we admire and know them for. I just hope this isn't the event which sees the demise of Blizzard as we know it. I've seen way too many mergers that have destroyed a good thing. It may seen like a natural match, to have several decent companies all bolted and nailed together to pool resources, but we all know the story of EA, it doesn't always pan out to make better or more brilliant games, in fact it's usually the sign of trundling mediocrity.

companys do stupid things, everything is always about money - but i honesely dont think theres anything to worry about. blizzard has found its niche, and they know that changing what they have could be a potential mistake. i dont see anything except awesome consequences for the future.
