A vote on gold buying - yes or no?

I would actually like to see a vote on the matter, just for curiosity sake. I know we have discussed this at great length in the past, and goodness knows I've weighed in on the matter myself. But I would be interested in hard numbers. How many for, how many against, how many don't care?

I'd start the poll myself, but I think I'm still a little new here.
There you have it, taken from here. I'm curious on this matter as well, so please vote. It's anonynmous, so don't think you'll be banned if you say yes, or flamed if you say yes, or whatever. Just...vote, and you'll be as cool as this guy

I can see where it could be a good thing, but it's a lot more complex than a simple yes or no answer.

(This is in the context that we are hypothetically Blizzard making the decision. So long as Blizzard says no, the question is moot.)

No. Blizzard says it's not allowed, so it's not ok.

Now, if you asked me whether I think gold buying is ok if Blizzard allowed it, and was the source that sold it, then I'd have a different answer for you.

As it is, though, gold buyers are simply cheaters who support the hacking of (and stealing of gold from) other people's accounts.

To echo another post, the question is moot, as gold buying/selling is against the terms of service.

Since it is really not hard to earn money through trade skills and you know...putting some time and effort into doing so, I think resorting to buying in-game currency with real life money is pretty lame.

I wonder what would happen if people *could* take out loans from the banks in the game, or even get money from a loan shark NPC? Is usury against WoW terms of service?

Its wrong on so many levels

You can't call yourself a gamer or a true player if you don't play the game if you buy you dont play

And the duh is that bliz is against it.

Also you have to look at the people making websites that sell it, they are using hacks and or speed leveling they're way to make a profit. They don't even care about the game, so if you do why do you support them and if you don't care.... why are you playing?!?!?!?
